To most of the people who know her in real life, Kinoko is a kind of awkward and nerdy girl who sticks to the back of the classroom and has a hard time opening up to those around her. However, in the world of online gaming communities, Kinoko is something of a living legend—after all, she’s played and aced practically every game she’s played since she was old enough to hold a controller, and her knowledge of video games and all the little things that make them tick is unrivaled by most! In fact, when she’s around her online friends, she becomes so outgoing and confident that it’s like she’s a completely different person!
So, it comes as little surprise that she was chosen as leader and founder of the Pretty Cure, legendary warriors and guardians of the gaming world Pixelania. As Cure Mushroom, she has the ability to utilize the many different power-up items stored in her backpack in order to transform in different forms, all of which have plenty of powerful attacks and pack enough punch to beat down the bad guys! And this comes in handy, because as leader of Level Up! Precure, she’s gonna need a lot of tricks up her sleeve...
Toraka Hirohara/Cure Monster「広原虎花/キュアモンスター」

A spunky, wise-cracking girl with a thirst for adventure and a comeback for any situation, Toraka never fails to bring a smile to the faces of those around... Except for her own, that is. Though she doesn’t like to show it, Toraka’s been having trouble adjusting to her father’s new marriage, especially given that she has a hard time finding common ground and bonding with her new step-mom, and believes she’s making her beloved father unhappy because of this. Because of this, she tends to pour herself into her favorite games to cope and dreams of running off on grand journeys where she doesn’t have to worry about a thing.
So, when she was whisked away to Pixelania and became Cure Monster, the Precure who fights with help from magically-summoned animal effigies based on actual animals she’s befriend, Toraka was elated! Admittedly, though, she tends to get too carried away with her fantasies of grand journeys and epic battles that she sometimes neglects her Cure duties or acts without thinking, but she’s well-meaning at heart. And when push comes to shove, her fellow Cures know that they can always count on her to pull through!

A cool and collected girl who acts as the team’s voice of reason, Hajime is what people would call an “old soul” who carries themself with a wisdom and insight well beyond their sixteen years. Unfortunately for Hajime, this wisdom and insight is leveraged by their tendencies towards overthinking and worrying about everything that happens to burden them, no matter how great or small. If it weren’t for this, then surely they wouldn’t be perpetually stuck at the crossroads of life, completely lost as they try to figure out who they want to be in the future, what they want to do with their life and how to handle their relationship with their online girlfriend Ryusei as they both grow older and busier with their respective lives.
Well, luckily they’ve been able to postpone worrying about this for a while, as they have bigger concerns at the moment—like making their way back home after they were whisked away to Pixelania! When they picked up their early release copy of Pixel Fantasy, the last thing they expected was being whisked away to a magical world and becoming Cure Legend, the Precure who fights with a mixture of magical attacks and good old fashioned swordfighting that can be combined to create extremely powerful blows... But, having their online friends and girlfriend on their team has definitely made things a little easier for them.
Ryusei Mitsuki/Cure Meteor「美月流星/キュアメテオ」

With his bright smile and never-ending gusto, Ryusei is the spitting image of a dashing hero and everyone around him seems to know it! Ryusei has a gung-ho attitude and tends to not sweat the small stuff, worrying little and taking things as they come. While the laidback and cheerful attitude makes him quite popular with others, very good at adapting to situations at hand and thinking on his feet, sometimes he tends to come off as not taking things as seriously as he should. It’s not that he intends to be insensitive or dismissive of others’ feelings, but he doesn’t believe in worrying and fretting about all the little things—rather, he prefers to take things one step at a time, crossing bridges when he gets there instead of sticking around and debating on which one to pick.
As Cure Meteor, Ryusei has a fairly interesting style of fighting—when he first transforms, he is unable to use any of his attacks, with them unlocking the longer he stays transformed! Though this style of fighting challenged his “Go with the flow” mindset, Ryusei was quickly able to get a hold of it and has been slowly mastering the skills it provides him. It’s been a challenge, but as long as he has his girlfriend and friends by his side, he won’t give up!
Daiki Hoshio/Cure Puff「星生大輝/キュアパフ」

Stylish and savvy, Daiki lives out his life determined to stand out and be uniquely himself, regardless of what people have to say about it! He adores anything and everything cutesy and stylish, always has a spring in his step, and at heart enjoys helping people out... But, he has a hard time realizing when he’s actually helping and when he’s just being a nuisance, oftentimes jumping in without considering the situation at hand first. Thus, more often than not he tends to get written off as being nosey in spite of his good intentions.
This attitude means he tends to butt heads with people a lot, which didn’t do him any favors when he was whisked away to Pixelania and given the power to transform into Cure Puff, the Precure who has to ability to copy the powers of his opponents into form changes he could use for himself! His headstrong and gung-ho attitude put him in conflict with the other Cures at first, but ultimately he realized his faults, made amends and join their team! Though he’s still got a lot to learn about being a hero...
Kotone Ikashi/Cure Squid「鰞市琴音/キュアスクイッド」

Ambitious, creative and with an unrelenting love of technology, Kotone’s life motto is dream big and think bigger! Ever since she was young, she had been determined to revolutionize the world of technology with her own inventions, and spends her days tinkering and planning and plotting away. It’s no exaggeration to say that Kotone puts her entire heart and soul into everything she does, but as a result, when things don’t work out like she thinks she tends to have a hard time bouncing back up and trying again.
She and her childhood friend Moriko were the first two Precure selected by Ninten and Doh some time before the others were assembled, but after a battle gone horribly wrong they were taken captive by the Final Boss! It wasn’t until Kinoko herself was kidnapped by the Final Boss and helped them break free that they were able to don the mantle of Precure once more, and now fight alongside the rest of Level Up! Precure! Kotone’s alter ego is Cure Squid, and she fights via a specialized weapon that had multiple different “modes” for whatever kind of attack she needs, be it ranged, up-close and personal or more!
Moriko Kawamura/Cure Leaf「川村森子/キュアリーフ」

A gentle and humble girl with a natural talent for learning, Moriko cherishes the little things in life and always finds the good in every situation. With her brilliant mind and aptitude to quickly learning new things, Moriko is considered a prodigy in the making and many people have big hopes for her, but Moriko herself isn’t fond of all the grand expectations that come from others. She's not the kind of person who wants to do anything big and grandiose with her life, and just wants to do the things that she enjoys first and foremost... But much to her distaste, a lot of people around her seem to think otherwise, and somedays she can’t help but wonder if she really is wasting her potential by not doing more with her vast abilities.
